Norwalk is Connecticut’s “city by the bay,” complete with beaches and other water-borne activities, including fishing, boating, tubing, kayaking, and surfing. But landlubbers also have a wide range of choices, including amusement parks, nature trails, antique stores, historical landmarks, museums, and nightlife. If you’re sure where you want to go, find one of the many specialty “trails” that will take you through local vineyards, farmers’ markets, bicycle trails—even a chocolate trail!
When you return home from a day or night out, you just need your HVAC system to work correctly to keep your home comfortable. If it isn’t, or you’re seeing an increase on your Eversource utility bills with no obvious reason, it’s time to call Edgerton. We’ve been taking care of Norwalk’s heating and cooling repair needs for over 60 years.
Local Heating and Air Conditioning For Norwalk, CT
Your HVAC system is one of your home’s biggest replacement expenses. While no system lasts forever, taking care of the one you have goes a long way in protecting your investment and ensuring that it lasts at least through its expected lifespan.
Just like your car, get your HVAC system inspected annually by trained service technician. They can spot small problems before they become bigger—and your heater or AC stops working when you need it most. From a clogged drain line to an electrical issue or motor repair, Edgerton’s heating and air conditioning technicians will check everything to make sure your system is repaired and working properly.
In addition to HVAC systems, we can also inspect, maintain and repair furnaces and boilers, both gas and oil types.
Additional Home Services
Our Home Performance Analysis helps us find more of those spots where you’re losing hot or cold air and allowing more dust and humidity to enter your home. We perform a digital inspection, then use digital imaging and air quality testing to determine what’s reducing your home’s efficiency. Once we complete our testing, we’ll give you a full report on leaks and give you a corrective action plan to implement.
Sealing off the “draft spots” can eliminate hot or cold air loss, keep out unwanted humidity, dust and allergens. Your HVAC system won’t have to work as hard to keep your home comfortable, saving you on heating and cooling costs.
Did you know that you may have drafts and other leaks through your attic stairs? These leaks can have a significant impact on your home’s energy efficiency as well as your utility costs. We offer attic zipper seals for your attic stairs to seal one of the draftiest spots in your house. These seals will improve your home’s efficiency, and prevent cold drafts in the winter, and cool air loss in the summer. They’ll also help block out more of the dust, pollen and other allergens that can enter your home through the draft spots, keeping your home drier, cleaner and more comfortable.

Our furnace stopped working on a Saturday night a few weeks ago, and Sunday morning we got in touch with Edgerton. We were referred by family who spoke highly of their experience. The head sales rep was at our house by Sunday at 11am. They are responsive, professional, intelligent, and our new furnace is extremely efficient. Edgerton installed the new HVAC unit earlier than expected and our heat was working just before the temperatures dropped. I will definitely be referring Edgerton to my friends and family.
I'm so glad I selected Edgerton for my service contract and extensive repair work. Friends recommended them and they are on time, clean and professional. Thanks.
If you need help with your central air (or furnace), I would highly recommend Edgerton. Our AC Compressor went down this weekend and Edgerton got one of their Techs out to us very quickly. The guy was great, very knowledgable and efficient. He walked us through a few options to get us back up and running while being very open and conscious of the associated costs. Our house was cool again by the time he left on Saturday (and the repair cost was very reasonable). I did not have a regular service plan for our unit, but I will be using Edgerton for that going forward. (I know we all complain when we get bad service, this company did a great job for us and I felt that kudos were due)
My furnace was working sporadically and I was under Edgerton's care, so I decided to visit and meet the people at their headquarters. I explained the problem and they sent their tech, Adi Dika, to my home early the next morning.Within 10 minutes, Adi found My blower motor needed to be replaced. He had a new blower motor in his truck and one hour later it was working great. Edgerton is a class company, with great people and very fair pricing. A J B
